The national final of the 7th China International "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Nanchang University in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, from October 12 to 15. Among more than 2.28 million projects from 121 countries and regions at home and abroad, 4,347 universities and colleges, the project named “Noble Sound Technology—Enterprise Level Acoustic AI Technology Services Unicorn" recommended by CUGB has won a gold medal which is a breakthrough for CUGB who has been participating actively in the competition.  

Since the preparatory work for the "Internet+" competition was launched in March, the university leaders have attached great importance to it. The Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee and the Office of Academic Affairs and other departments have cooperated with all colleges to encourage faculty, students and alumni to actively participate in the competition with various publicity campaigns in hope of discovering more cooperative projects between university and enterprises. 

Through the selection and cultivation of "Cradle Cup" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in the university, 32 teams from 192 participating projects were recommended to participate in the semi-finals of Beijing Competition area. Among them, 4 teams have made it all the way to the national final, namely “Noble Sound Technology—Enterprise Level Acoustic AI Technology Services Unicorn"，"Aichuang Technology – pioneer in the new era for labor education system ", "High conductivity new material – Domestic high thermal conductivity composite materials for high-end manufacturing " and " New smart agriculture using ground penetrating radar (GPR) to accurately assist the industrial upgrading of Xiaotangshan region". 1 gold medal and 3 bronze awards have been won constantly refreshing the best performance in the history of CUGB.

In the competition for gold medal, the project team of “Noble Sound Technology” entered the "Top three ranking" of the final as the first place in the group, and finally ranked 7th in the national main track of higher Education (except for the undergraduate creative group), achieving the best record in the history of CUGB in the China International "Internet +" Competition, realizing the historic breakthrough of winning the gold medal in this competition.

"Noble Sound Technology" is a leading enterprise acoustic AI technology service provider, and the first commercial team in China equipped with multi-microphone array complex sound field signal processing. The team is mainly composed of teachers, students and alumni from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) (Project leader: Chang Weixi; Members: Lu Lu, Wang Zhanjing, Fu Ruichen, Yu Shuonan; Instructor: Yu Qinghai).

Its "contact-free acoustic fault diagnosis" technology fills the gap in the acoustic detection industry in China, and its "far-field sound picking", "voice print recognition", "array fusion", "beamforming", "multidimensional noise reduction" and other technologies are well recognized in many diversified industrial scenarios. As a young company, its goal is to create a Chinese version of "BK" and become a unicorn enterprise in the field of acoustic industry application in China and to contribute to the realization of China's carbon neutrality goal and the upgrading of high-end manufacturing industry. 

Chang weixi, co-founder and COO of "Noble Sound Technology" is a graduate of the Class of 2019 from China university of geosciences (Beijing). He has led four rounds of venture capital investment, including Inventec Angel Fund, Dachen Financial Intelligence, Xiangfeng Capital and Legend Ventures, and led the Noble Sound team to apply acoustic AI monitoring products to various industrial scenarios, such as power, energy and so on. He has won honorary titles such as "Beijing Entrepreneurship Mentor" and "2019 BRICS Young Scientist", and has been listed in the "2020 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30", "2020 Forbes China Under 30", "2021 Forbes Asia Under 30" and other honorary lists.

In the process of preparing for the national finals, the university leaders paid attention to the progress of the preparatory competition for many times, visited the teachers and students of the preparatory competition, and sent off the participating teams at the departure ceremony to express their sincere hopes. Lin Shanyuan, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, was entrusted by Secretary Ma Junjie and President Sun Youhong to attend the finals and express warm congratulations to the winning teams. He also had a discussion with project leader Chang Weixi to encourage the teams in the following "Top three qualifying competition". All the participating teachers and students were greatly encouraged.

In recent years, the university always takes it in mind to "promote teaching, learning and creativity by participating in competitions”. By deepening the collaborative education of entrepreneurship and innovation, cultivating the resources of the entrepreneurship and innovation base, and digging into the entrepreneurship and innovation projects of college students, CUGB have created an atmosphere for entrepreneurship and innovation, and fostered the innovative spirit, entrepreneurial consciousness and ability of college students.
