1.Major Introduction

According to the cooperative advantages of geosciences and engineering technologies in China University of Geosciences, this training program proposes the teaching methods combining theory and practice, and trains top-ranking engineering technicians who are able to be engaged in surveying, mapping, investigation, evaluation, planning, design and construction in the fields of land resources, urban and rural construction, environmental protection, agriculture and water conservancy projects etc. The following capabilities are taken into account in this program: grasping the basic theories of geomorphology, resource science, ecology, engineering and land management; mastering the basic skills of investigation and evaluation, surveying and mapping, 3S technologies, planning and design in engineering; well knowing the basic knowledge and methods of land development, land use, land consolidation, land protection, and land remediation.

2.Academic Objectives

The program is based on the ideas of good moral, sound background, wide knowledge and high profession, and it also takes engaging in the science, technology and engineering research of land development, land use, land consolidation, land protection, and land remediation as the core. The following capabilities are taken into account in this program: having the solid basic theories of geosciences, resource science, ecology, engineering, and land management; possessing the capability of analyzing the formation, distribution and development of land resources; expertly mastering the basic skills of surveying and mapping, investigation and evaluation, 3S technologies, design and construction in engineering. The final aim is to train the top-ranking engineering technicians who are able to be engaged in land consolidation in the fields of land resources, urban and rural construction, environmental protection, agriculture and water conservancy projects etc.   

3.Academic Requirement

The students in this program need meet the talent requirements regulated on the land consolidation project from the National Occupation Classification (green occupation). The following capabilities are taken into account in this program: having a strong engineering innovation spirit, practice ability and open international perspective; systematically mastering the fundamental theory, basic knowledge and basic skills and methods of land consolidation; scientifically analyzing the formation, distribution and development of land resources; expertly making the surveying and mapping, investigation and evaluation, design and construction in engineering; applying system engineering methods and modern economic knowledge to analyze practical problems of land consolidation and optimize various technical and economic issues.

4.Length of Schooling and Degree

Four-year ，Bachelor degree or management degree .
